The JaxLegacy Race is a community event which includes a 3K & 5K Walk, Run or Roll. All age levels experience and ability are welcome. Proceeds will be used for medical expenses for CT teen, Jackie Stager, who has been diagnosed and effected by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Chiari Malformation, Gastroparesis, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Disorder, a mild bleeding disorder and channelopathy. The compounded effects of these conditions requires constant medical follow-up, tests and, if needed, expensive procedures.

Description
The race will have distance options for either a 3K or a 5K and will be chip-timed by FastTrack Timing LLC. The 3K surface will be run in part on gravel track and paved road. The 5K will include the 3K route plus have a cross country section of approximately 2K. The race will begin and end at Veteran's Park in Sherman, CT. This park is very family friendly with several large ball fields, a playground, and tennis and basketball courts. The Sherman School is adjacent to the park and has several play areas as well.
There are a few favorite eateries in Sherman; The American Pie Co, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; Amore's Restaurant, serving Italian and pizza take-out; and The Sherman IGA, who hosts the best deli in the area. Shops include Happy Rainbows, Sherman Wine and Liqour, The Old Store, and Sacred Grounds Coffee Roasters. The neighboring town of New Milford has many places to eat and shop as well.
Parking
Free Parking will be available at Veteran's Park and The Sherman School. There will be volunteers to help guide you.
